October was a big month for Chad, Molly and me. The month began with Molly's baptism the first weekend in October. She did great throughout the ceremony and only cried when Father O'Connor poured the holy water over her little head. After the ceremony, we all headed to Rio City Cafe overlooking the Sacramento River for her baptism luncheon. Thanks to all of our family and friends for joining us on Molly's special day. A special thank you to Jill Lance and Chris Schwarze for standing beside Molly as her godparents on the first day of her journey in the Catholic faith.
After Molly's luncheon, we had about three hours to rest, re-charge our batteries and then head back downtown for a beautiful surprise birthday party for my mom that my amazing aunts, Susie and Terri hosted for her. That was a long day of celebrating, but so much fun and well worth it to spend time with family. Still not wore out enough, we headed to San Francisco the next morning for Molly's first 49ers game with the John and Jen Dacquisto and their little baby and Molly's friend, Tessa. She was a great little fan and enjoyed the game a lot. She didn't exactly say so, but we could tell!
Molly and I went to Boise for a few days to see family and friends and to help Aunt Karin celebrate her birthday. While in Boise, we were treated by my parents to a ride on the very cool pumpkin train. The scenery was beautiful and Molly was able to pick out her very own pumpkin.
More fun adventures awaited us as we went on a quick trip to Yosemite. The colors were beautiful, but it was too late in the season to see any waterfalls. Chad had never been and was thoroughly impressed so I think that we will be heading back in the spring or early summer. We were able to go on some beautiful walks, most of which Molly was asleep for. We are truly lucky, she can sleep just about anywhere!
Then of course there was Halloween! She was dressed as the cutest little chili pepper ever!!! We even took her out trick or treating with our neighbors Scott and Jen and their kids, but like I said about her sleeping......she slept right through all of the festivities!!! Pushing Molly around in her stroller with the other parents on Halloween was a bit of a reality check for us.....we have come a long way from our crazy Halloween party days to being a PARENT, dressing our baby up and creating memories for her....I guess we are really grown-ups now huh? = - )

What a great month! You three make a happy family - it is so important to do things together and have fun at it. You already have lots of beautiful memories, and photos you will treasure for many many years. And your family life has only just begun! Molly looked very cute in her Chili Pepper outfit.
