Aaahhhh....we love vacation! We just got back from a fun filled, relaxing week in Cabo San Lucas at our favorite resort the Sheraton Hacienda Del Mar. Seriously, we would love to figure out a way to live there full time!!! The staff, the grounds, the room, pool, restaurants, you name it...we love it!
We rented a two bedroom, three bathroom villa for the week and brought my sister Stacy along with us as a quasi nanny to allow for Chad and I to relax a few days at the pool and to go out a couple nights. It was also a great opportunity for Stacy to bond one on one with Molly.
There always seems to be some sort of issue before we go on vacation...last time it was a hurricane about to hit Cabo before we left and this time it was the awful Swine Flu or H1N1 as it is now called. A few days before we left we began seeing coverage of it and we contacted Molly's doctors and spoke with all the health professionals we know (thanks Jill and Aunt Susie) and everyone gave us the green light to go and to of course wash our hands a lot, bring antiseptic wipes and gel and stay away from seemingly infected people. It wasn't until we were already there that the Swine Flu became a media frenzy!!! I am happy to report that there STILL has not been a confirmed case in Cabo.
Anyways, we left Sacramento on Monday bound for SFO in a beautiful stretch limousine arranged by Chad and got to the Airport in style! No long term parking hassle for us! Our flight was just about full and Molly was an angel sleeping almost the entire way. When we arrived in Cabo, we picked up our rental car (BTW we have the BEST hookup for car rentals in Cabo) and headed to Zippers on the beach for lunch and drinks. After lunch we got to the resort and checked into our beautiful villa with an amazing view of the ocean.....we were so pleased! Chad and Stacy made a run to Wal-Mart for supplies (yes, there is a Wal-Mart in Cabo AND a Sam's Club AND a Costco etc.). We had dinner at the Mexican restaurant on site and hit the hay shortly thereafter.
The next few days were spent poolside where Molly became an instant celebrity at the resort. Everywhere we went people would wave and say 'Hi Molly!' Or if we were without her they all wanted to know where she was and what she was doing....staff would ask where the 'bambina' was. Too cute. Molly of course ate up all of the attention and paid everyone back with huge smiles and baby chatter.
Stacy and I went out one night on a boat cruise and went out to dinner making lots of friends wherever we went. Chad and I also went out for a sunset cruise and met some great people from Atlanta that we had a lot of fun with going out for drinks after the cruise. We also went out at the resort a couple of times and took advantage of having a live in nanny A.K.A. Stacy, to care for and watch Molly.
Some highlights.....Greg Norman was visiting Cabo and his amazing yacht was tendered in the harbor the duration of our trip, Eric Nies from the Real World New York was staying at our resort, we saw numerous whales from the pool and many dolphins on our cruises, Molly swimming in a pool for the first time and loving it, meeting people from around the country and even our own backyard....lots of people from Sacramento, San Francisco and even a huge contingency of people from Challis, Idaho......they did enjoy giving Chad a hard time for being a Vandal as they are all Bronco fans...I am seen as a independent I guess being a Bengal!
Our trip was amazing and we had so much fun and can't wait to go back again sometime very soon.

Fun times! We are so glad that you are safely back home and apparently healthy! Each of you looks terrific in the photos, and certainly enjoying the sun and sand. Wish we could have gone with you ..... maybe next time?
