37 Days and Counting

Hi everyone - we are getting closer every day to becoming parents! We can't believe that we are only a little over five weeks away from meeting our little boy or little girl.

Everyone will be pleased to know that we have made a lot of progress on preparing for the arrival of Baby Collins. The bassinet is all setup and ready to go. Baby's room now has a crib, dresser/changing table, bookshelf and rocking chair. The room has been prepped, painted, cleaned and is ready to move into.

I was fortunate enough to have another baby shower last weekend, hosted by my two lovely aunts, Sue Gross and Terri Moran. The shower was at a winery in Elk Grove and couldn't have been more perfect! When I arrived and peeked around the corner and saw the setup, it was so beautiful that it reminded me of a wedding. The party was a nursery rhyme themed garden brunch. Menu items included quiche, ham, asparagus, fresh baked breads, the yummiest cream puffs ever, tortes and fruit. Oh and everyone seemed to be enjoying the wine and champagne except for me of course.......only 37 more days until I can partake in that again! My mom and sisters even came down from Boise to experience another shower for our very fortunate baby.

Forgot to mention that Chad was at the shower too....he and Terri's husband Doug came to help setup and ended up being our bartenders and servers all day! They were super troopers and made the day seamless for all. I doubt Chad expect ever expected to attend a baby shower!
