Well, Chad and I have survived our first two weeks of parenthood! Although the next two weeks will be our true test as we have had a lot of help with the baby since she was born and the help has now moved on and left us on our own. My mom, sister, niece and dad were here with us for the first week and then my sister Karin stayed on for another week. Now they have all left and we need to manage things on our own.
Molly is an excellent baby and an excellent sleeper which has been a blessing. Knock on wood, but we haven't had to deal with the exhaustion factor yet! She only wakes up once, maybe twice some nights to eat and then goes right back down. We will see if that trend continues....keep your fingers crossed for us.
We gave her a bath for the first time last week and she didn't seem to enjoy it very much. She was VERY pleased to get it over with and be wrapped up in her warm fluffy towel. I keep telling her that someday, bathtime will be lots of fun and she looks at me like I am crazy!
We took her out to her first baseball game on Friday evening courtesy of the River Cats. They were so wonderful to us and our friends Armando, Mia and Avery and put us in a suite and even hosted dinner, drinks and a bottle of champagne to celebrate her first game. We were so appreciative of their hospitality and generosity. Even though Molly slept through most of it, we took pictures to make sure that she never forgets her first game.
