Baby on the Way
So - watch out because a little Chad or Maurine is on the way! We are very excitedly expecting our first baby at the end of July. We have decided to go against common practice and not find out what we are having until the baby arrives! We have several names picked out for both a boy and a girl and will wait until we meet the little one to decide on the name. Can't wait to meet him or her!
I wasn't showing until the beginning of the fifth month, so it seemed a bit surreal until my belly popped out which let us know that this baby is really coming! As of today, I am 22 weeks and one day pregnant. That gives us a little over four months to prepare for baby! Chad has graciously offered his sports room for the baby and we are in the process of moving everything out to begin the baby room makeover. Of course, he is hoping that the baby is a boy, so he can move most of his sports memorabilia back into the room. He is also lobbying for a flat screen TV to go in the baby's room as well because he really feels that a baby boy should have ESPN on in the background at all times! We will see about that one.....

Congrats Chad & Maurine! Tina & I are so happy for you. Great to hear from you guys. We have been busy ourselves. Tina gave birth Friaday morning 3/28/08 @ 2:16 AM. His name is, Kyle Andrew. His nickname before he was born was affectionately, "Ocho." Why you ask, well he is my mothers eigth grandchild and was born in the eigth year, and Tina got knocked up by the gardener. Just kidding. Speaking from my side of the pregnancy, Chad- it is one of the best feelings in the world to be a Dad and know that the baby will look up to you for guideance. When they are old enough to walk and talk & you come home from work and you hear that emphatic, "DADDY" it will make your eyes light up and your heart melt and everything that happened before you walked in that door not matter. Well the heir is now apparent! The bump is very cute, and you look very healthy and happy. Keep it going! Is Chad developing a "sympathy" bump so he can get some attention too? Haha! Love Mom and Ed
